methods ie; age categories, how to use video and a whats happening page
for current events. There are also links to their sister site, 1 Big Database.
The Rainbow Resource also has a new accessibility page that allows you
to alter the layout, ie; to make bigger or change colour font for dyslexia etc.
All Rainbow Resource pages now also have the same page layout for easier use
with downloadable documents and easy link to RR Card.
Feedback received so far has been; Good Info and clear format. Easy accessibility
to RR form for Card.
Please have a look at the site and leave feedback, good or bad, or for anything
not working on feedback form on site or contact/email Gemma Vitozzi,

3. Karina Kulawik – Send Systems and Funding Bands in Banes
All Banes Funding Guidance Documents can be found on the Rainbow Resource
under Banes Whole System Approach on the Local Offer. This new system will
introduce a new banding system for high needs funding based around a
a description of your childs/Young persons needs and not the schools needs. This
makes the whole system much more transparent and fairer. No bands will be
dependant on a diagnosis but on the needs presenting in school. This new system
will apply to every age group from Early years through to Further education, inc
Resource based and Special Schools. All new EHCP’s will now operate on this
new fairer system and all current EHCP’s will move over to this system by 2019.
Letters explaining this new system have been sent out to all schools currently with
further guidance for schools and parents being produced very shortly.
All guidance notes discussed at this meeting can be found published on the Local
Offer on the new Rainbow Resource site.
